Mandy Sadan is Reader in the History of South East Asia at SOAS, University of London. She has been researching the social and cultural
history of the Kachin region since the mid–1990s and has written a number of articles. Her first research monongraph, Being and Becoming Kachin: Histories Beyond the State in the Borderworlds of Burma (Oxford: British Academy & Oxford University Press, 2013), won the EuroSEAS Nikkei Asian Review Prize for Best Book in the Humanities, 2015. |
